Life Changing. Ai WeiWei is an artist who has changed the course of art. He uses his art to challenge Chinese politics, turn age-old philosophies on its head and fight for human rights. He has changed my life. Every effort made by WeiWei is fully conscious, from medium to environment, perspective to context.  I will write often of him.  He is a gifted communicator - one who speaks in layers: Upon seeing his work you are instantaneously effected. In fact, the craftmanship alone, the scale, the engineering behind much of his work stands as ‘good enough to be art.’ However, once you learn of the questions he asks himself, where his objects and mediums originate from, who has crafted or produced a given work, where it was made, when it was concepted…  These questions must be answered and thought of with each of his pieces. For his provoking, I thank him.
